Kristyna Payton Loundy is our new Falcon contributor, focused on education and the issues affecting students, families and schools across the area.

A Fort Bend County resident and mother of two, Loundy believes good community reporting starts with asking questions, checking the records and giving readers the information they need to draw their own conclusions.

Her interest in education reporting grew out of her involvement in her daughters’ schools and her engagement with the Fort Bend community. Her experience researching school district decisions, public records and policies led her to look for ways to bridge the communication gap between policymakers and parents. She is particularly interested in following the paper trail and making complicated information understandable to the people it affects.

Loundy has previous publishing experience, including writing about fantasy football for Your Fantasy Football Coach, as well as working as a freelance writer and ghostwriter. She is also a self-published children’d author. 

Outside of writing, Loundy enjoys crocheting, playing fantasy football and spending time with her two daughters.
