And this handsome boy is Baker. He’s getting an introduction in the About Us section because if I’m writing he’s usually at my feet. Or more likely, on my feet.

I’ve been a Fort Bend County resident since 2015. Before that I was a reporter in the DC metro area, before that I studied at Texas A&M University Corpus Christi, and before that I was a Coast Guard brat. Baker has had the privilege of living all eight of his years in the bend.

In this section you’ll find a piece on why we are called the Fort Bend Falcon and two introductions detailing why I am a journalist and why you should listen to me.  

The Fort Bend Falcon is an alternative to the media we currently have in the county. You’ll find longer, more investigative pieces. You’ll find opinions pieces from me and others. You’ll find interviews that seek to understand the issues we collectively face and the people deciding how to address them. Most importantly, you’ll find a sense of justice and fairness for the people who call this county home. 

We are excited to embark on this journey and hope you’ll come along for the ride as we cover the most diverse and one of fastest growing counties in the state.
